Schloss Steinhausen in Witten

Unfortunately, because of the lockdown, I can't rate the restaurant itself, but rather the associated sculpture park. But this alone is phenomenal! Must see !

I can't comment on the restaurant - just closed due to corona restrictions. But the waffles and coffee outside to take away on the 1st of Advent were 👍👍!

Steinhausen Castle is in an excellent location near the Muttental mining trail and is surrounded by a sculpture park with exhibits by African sculptors. The associated gastronomy was closed in November 2020 due to corona. The registry office located there, on the other hand, has just been frequented by a larger wedding group. If you are around this place is definitely worth a visit.

We booked our wedding here before Corona. There were many uncertainties on our part, but the Kobbeloer family took them away from us immediately. Especially in these times you notice who just wants to make money or who has heart too. Such an accommodating family company, which has certainly not only been doing well in the last few months, is probably very rare. We are so happy that we could celebrate here. We received great praise from the guests for the location, the decoration, the service and above all the food! The price-performance ratio is unique. Mrs. Kobbeloer decorated the cowshed so beautifully !! We would like to thank the great service Carmen, Anne, Sarah, Boris, Yustine and Elena for this wonderful day and, finally, the Kobbeloer family for the most beautiful day of our lives!

Last week we celebrated our wedding at Steinhausen Castle and we are more than satisfied. From the friendly / professional planning to the celebration itself, everything went perfectly. Reliable, creative, patient, with very friendly staff in a great atmosphere. The food was high quality, freshly prepared and plentiful, the service was simply great and at a fair price. Our conclusion: Unreservedly recommendable! Thanks to the whole team.

The owner, Mrs. Kobbeloer, was very unfriendly and very unsympathetic. She cited some corona regulations that don't exist just to sell her sparkling wine. Not recommended!

How romantic. Nice to look at sculpture art. Likewise the stone sculptures. Also to buy. Worth seeing.

Unfortunately, I was a little disappointed. Ewerte very reluctantly bad, but in this case there is only one star of mine. We made the appointment online at the Steinhausen registry office and also received the confirmation by email for viewing and discussion. We were really looking forward to it. From the outside it makes a nice, pretty impression. Then I looked for someone because I didn't quite know where to go. Half so wild! Then found a woman who was painting her closets, asked where I had to go and mentioned that I have an appointment. She confirmed to me that she is the right contact person. Then I was told, no, there is currently no appointment. Then I wanted to show the confirmation, unfortunately the woman was not interested either, who told me that if she didn't have one, she doesn't need to see my email either, the appointment is not set. I'm supposed to go upstairs, she doesn't have time, she has to keep painting her closets ... Then a man came along and said: "You had made a reservation? We already had two times today, but we didn't enter an appointment here from you. " Thus I was also confirmed that something is wrong with the appointment calendar and it was not an error. So we were simply left standing, although maybe we can be taken care of for a moment. With the statement, make a new appointment. She could at least have apologized. I attach great importance to friendliness and service and this was unfortunately not available. Apparently don't need it, that's how it works. A shame, a shame, of course we have now booked another house. We have also planned our meal afterwards with almost 200 people elsewhere. The 1 star is given for the pretty location.

The place is beautiful, the food was unfortunately not worth the money. Fresh salad from the garden? No from the mason jar. Fresh mushrooms for a press schnitzel? No from a can. The currywurst was like rubber. Really a shame, because the staff is very friendly. Addendum: Thanks for your answer to my recession. I don't know what should be bad about my recession, it was just my opinion that I made public here, your salad was definitely not fresh and the mushrooms were not fresh either. However, they advertise with fresh ingredients on their menu. That doesn't go together ..... a real shame.

We got married in the small chapel in October 2019 and then celebrated in the cowshed and can absolutely recommend Schloss Steinhausen🤩. From the first appointment we felt in perfect hands there, the planning was wonderfully uncomplicated, the Kobbeloer family always had an open ear and a solution ready for questions, concerns and wishes Wünsche We and all of our guests were enthusiastic about the premises, the delicious food and also the great staff and their service😍 Thank you for everything❤

After a strenuous hike through coal mining, you can relax here in Steinhausen Castle and dine and drink well! Art is also for sale!

A wonderful place for those who like sculptures, beautiful workshops and ateliers. Art from Zimbabwe - there is a lot to see and feel there. I could not explore the restaurant because of a closed society. The atmosphere around it: very inviting and
